Ok I have literally stayed in hundreds of Hotels around the world.  When people ask me what is my favorite one,  i really have to rack my brain to think and compare all the different places that are apples and oranges.

If they ask some more simple like what is my favorite airline or hotel brand? Again my brain wanders thinks about all my different experiences  and struggles to come up with a good answer.

However,  If someone asks me what is best deal I ever got on a hotel room I have an easy answer:  $66 for a Fairmont Gold Suite.  This is a massive 1000 Sq Foot suite on the top floor of the hotel with Lounge Access. I’m not exactly sure why this room and this hotel was so cheap.  However, this stay was in August in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi is one of the United Arab Emirates and is oppressively HOT in August. I know there were some other Five Star luxury hotels with cheap rooms in Abu Dhabi,  but none were this cheap , let alone for a huge Suite.

This hotel was part of a 12 hour layover on the way to Maldives. I was accompanied by my sister and her Fiance, so the extra space was welcome.  We arrived at night and decided to venture out for dinner.  Our meal a few blocks away was $80 for three, quite a bit more than our hotel stay.

On the way back from dinner we got a good look at our Hotel which looks like it should be in the TRON movies when lit-up at ngiht.

 

The following morning we had breakfast in the lounge which was a decent spread.

From our table we had a nice view of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center.

Having had a good breakfast we left for the Airport, having very much enjoyed the best use of my money I’ve ever gotten at a hotel.
