For Today’s Post I am going to hand it over to our Guest Blogger Terri the T-Rex.
Park Hyatt Shanghai Review:
The Park Hyatt is an impressive hotel occupying the top floors of the Shanghai World Financial Center and is the second tallest hotel in the world.
My room was on the 83rd floor ,so my view of Shanghai and the Bund were great, only improvement would have been if the weather has been clearer.
I was able to get an upgrade to a Park King Suite, which was very spacious and one of the best suites I’ve ever stayed-in.
One the memorable features of this room was the High-Tech Japanese style toilet that had a separate wall-mounted control box. This allows you to Flush and Clean/Dry your undersides which I appreciate. Given my small arms reaching back there can be hard.
After my long flight I decided to enjoy some room service. I ordered off the chinese menu and got a sampler of BBQ meat items and some shanghai style soup dumplings The food was delicious and hit the spot. Meat is always appreciated as I am a Carnivore.
The following morning I also enjoyed an early breakfast in the 100 Century restaurant located on the 91 floor where a breakfast buffet is served. Since I had an early morning flight, I ate around 6AM. Its nice not to have to hunt prey so early in the morning. There wasn’t a lot of meat selection but I settled on some Eggs Benedict. This is not exactly meat Per se, but at least I was eating the unborn young of a lesser species.
There were lots of other wonderful choices to pick from, for my vegetarian and omnivore friends. The croissants in particular were very buttery and flaky.
All-in-all, this was a wonderful if short stay at a truly world-class hotel.
